The Mohonasen art community, and the rest of the world, is buzzing with excitement after their stellar showing at the Olympics of Visual Arts. From dancers to designers, these talented Mohonasen students impressed both judges and competitors alike with their ambitious creations and thoughtful artwork. It’s a real testament to the amazing talent and dedication of the students who are proving that Mohonasen stands among the top in the international art scene.
1. Visual Arts Medals for Mohonasen Students
The Mohonasen School District aims to recognize promising young talent and does so through its Visual Arts Medals Program. Every year a group of exemplary students in various artistic disciplines are chosen to receive one of the four prestigious medals – The Silver Medal for Outstanding Achievement, The Gold Medal for Merit, The Platinum Medal for Excellence, and the Royal Medal for Supreme Achievement.
These talented students have distinguished themselves through their dedication, passion, and ingenuity, as showcased by their exemplary artwork. The Silver Medalists’ work displays an acute understanding of art, while Gold Medalists demonstrate an appreciation for visual arts and the ability to bring creations to life. Platinum Medalists show tremendous attention to detail and mastery of form, while Royal Medalists prove superior technical skill and maneuvering of different mediums.

2. Olympian Success for High Schoolers
High schoolers have amazed audiences with their stunning performance at the last Olympian Games. There were many impressive records broken and excellent feats displayed.
Accomplishments:
- 17 year old Eduard Grau’s gold medal in individual fencing
- 18 year old Johnny Douglas sailing solo to a silver medal
- 14 year old Mija Mesic winning a record-breaking six medals in the Women’s Swimming Events
These young athletes caused a stir of enthusiasm amongst audience members. Yet their success is more than merely entertainment. As a result of their hard work and dedication, thousands of younger children are now inspired to pursue excellence and chase their dreams.
3. Rewarding Artistic Expression in the Olympic Ring
Artistic expression has always been an integral aspect of the Olympic Games. It is arguably the creative flair that helps make the Games so special. But it is not always adequately rewarded, and the expression often lacks in the arenas.
This is why the Olympic Games should put emphasis on rewarding expression and creativity. Artists, such as painters, sculptors and performance artists, should be invited to each Games to render the athleticism with their own creative flare. The art should also extend to the participants’ uniforms, adorned in beautiful colors and fabrics that reflect the country’s culture. Spectators should also be presented with creative exhibits that vary with each event. This will ensure that even after the Games have finished, the athletes’ expression will live on through art.

4. Mohonasen Celebrates National Victory
Students and Faculty Unite in the Celebration
Mohonasen High School was proud to host a celebration of our national victory this past weekend. Although any plans for student gatherings around the school were put on hold due to the pandemic, that didn’t stop the staff and students from coming together and recognizing the accomplishment.
The festivities included an acoustic guitar-accompanied parade around the football field, led by the school’s frontman and mascot “Big Hoss,” who waved an American flag proudly. The parade was concluded with a round of student chanting, expressing joy and solidarity. The power of the collective celebration was felt long past its conclusion.
A music and food-filled courtyard followed, offering a festive atmosphere for all participants. The benefits of having the event outside could not be overstated, as students were able to socialize with each other and take part in the celebratory atmosphere more than ever before.
Everyone was also grateful for the security team, who were the most important component in making sure the event was enjoyable and safe for all who attended. Without their presence, a gathering of people of all ages would have been impossible.
The night was ended with a video montage of pictures and videos from previous years’ events, sending everyone home content and proud. Everyone in attendance was united; no matter their differences and opinions, the day’s festivities brought them together and reminded them that when it comes to celebrating our nation’s victories, there is no difference.
The Mohonasen students’ hard work and dedication has paid off, bringing them glory and recognition at the Olympics of the Visual Arts. Here’s wishing them all the best in their future endeavours as they keep on striving for success.
