Name: PLAY COMME des GARÇONS x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Platform
Release Date: April 13
MSRP: ¥25,300 JPY (approximately $162 USD)
Where to Buy: Dover Street Market

PLAY COMME des GARÇONS and Converse have been cookin’ up since 2009, and in that near-two-decade period, the “Converse with the hearts” have become one of the footwear world’s most recognizable products. The partners have accented their creations with everything from repeating prints to neon tones and high-gloss midsoles and even had their shoes accidentally show up at Costco. Now, for SS25, they’re bringin’ on the beef thanks to a collection centered around extra-thick platform midsoles.

Appearing across low and high-top iterations of the Chuck Taylor All-Star, the high-stacked styles are either available in a black colorway with red accents and a red heart logo or white with black accents and heart logos. Though the colorways diverge, the design accents are uniform: thin piping across the top and middle of the midsole, a contrasting heel overlay, and, of course, a Filip Pagowski-designed heart with eyes smack-dab in the middle of the midfoot.

If you’re looking to add the latest “Converse with the hearts” to your spring and summer sneaker rotation, you’ll be able to do so when they release at retailers like Dover Street Market on April 13. The price is set at ¥25,300 JPY (approximately $162 USD), inclusive of tax.
