Matt Ox was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in California earlier this month.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, police pulled over a black Lexus around 4:30 a.m. on April 5 due to vehicle code violations. Authorities said several cups containing promethazine-codeine, popularly referred to as lean, were discovered during the traffic stop.
Matt, whose real name is Matthew Christopher Grau, and two others inside the vehicle at the time, were charged with possession of controlled substances without a prescription. The 20-year-old rapper was also allegedly found with oxycodone and alprazolam.
The 20-year-old was released with a citation to appear in court on April 30.
“FUCK THE SYSTEM ! FREE THE KIDS!NEW MUSIC SOON!,” Matt Ox wrote in an Instagram post, accompanied by a picture of his mugshot. “LOCKED ME UP FOR NUN IM BACK THO! 😂😈”
