Ken Carson didn’t announce his Tuesday evening New York City pop-up until five minutes before it started at 5:00 p.m. Lo and behold, there was still a line around the block at 5:03.
Fresh off the release of More Chaos, the Opium rapper set up shop in the heart of Soho for a last-minute vinyl signing. The under-the-radar activation went down at LUME Studios from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., and went unbeknownst to anyone other than passersby until around 4:55, when Carson posted a photo of the LUME billboard – that read “More Chaos” – with the caption “vinyl signing.”
Almost instantly, Carson’s flock of NYC-based fans flocked to the scene, with an influx of teens in baggy, all-black outfits looping around the corner of Broadway and Walker St.
When attendees stepped into the space, they were greeted with white walls, imbued with all-over projections of the album’s visuals. Carson waas posted up in the back of the space, seated at a white table as the line grew in front of him. More Chaos cuts echoed throughout the space as Carson conversed with each of the eager attendees. Take a closer look inside the event in the gallery above and watch our interview with Ken Carson below.
