It’s hard to believe that Coco Jones is just now making her official longform debut. The rapidly rising R&B songstress has tapped in with a handful of industry-wide heavyweights, ranging from Ferg and Brent Faiyaz to Latto and Reneé Rapp, and has, at last, lifted the veil on her first-ever studio album, an ethereal delivery entitled Why Not More? only further elevated with features from Future, London On Da Trak and YG Marley.
“Why Not More? is the question I’ve been asking myself in hopes of understanding me and growing in confidence,” the songstress said in an official press statement. “This album is about leaning into whoever you are right now without worrying about who you’ve been or who you want to be in the future. Authenticity will never lead you to the wrong place, so why not lean in?”
Spanning 14 songs, YG Marley hops in for a verse on the project’s title track “Why Not More?” with Future and London On Da Trak joining forces on “Most Beautiful Design.” Lead single “Taste” lands as the second cut on the tracklist.
