Footage has surfaced of comedian and This Past Weekend host Theo Von seemingly grabbing a man by the throat after being antagonized at a restaurant in the Broadway area of Nashville.
According to a report from TMZ, the decidedly brief video was captured earlier this month. In it, Von is seen standing in what appears to be the bottom floor of the three-level, Justin Timberlake-backed Twelve Thirty Club. A man holding balloons then approaches Von, resulting in a tense exchange that ultimately leads to the comedian appearing to put a hand on the man’s neck to push him away.
Complex has reached out to reps for Theo Von and the Twelve Thirty Club for comment. In TMZ’s report, sources are cited as saying that the man seen in the video had been harassing Von in the minutes leading up to the moment in question. Furthermore, per the report, the man was part of a larger group that had “repeatedly harassed” the comedian.
