Update: Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves face a daunting 3-1 deficit to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Western Conference Finals. While we await the result of tonight’s game to determine whether or not Edwards’ postseason run will continue, we do know that his sneaker output will persist. adidas Basketball revealed a sizable Year of the Snake collection back at the beginning of the year, including a pearlescent take on the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low. This “Year of the Snake” colorway, which nods to Edwards’ Chinese zodiac sign, will now see a global launch take place later this week on May 30 via adidas and select retailers at a starting price of $110 USD.

Original Story: adidas is gearing up for the Lunar New Year celebrations with a special edition AE1 Low. Named “Year of the Snake,” the shoe takes on a bold, iridescent hue complemented by a snake-inspired textured mesh upper. The adidas logo is highlighted in bright fuchsia to complement the pink heel for an added pop of color. The iridescent tone is seen throughout the shoe, giving it a shape-shifter accent similar to some snake species in the wild. Look out for the pair set to drop next year.
