Sneaker Politics has teamed up with ASICS to prepare an exclusive drop: introducing the GEL-K1011 “Live Oak.” The sneaker draws inspiration from Louisiana, the home state of Sneaker Politics, and its live oak trees. This particular type of tree is known for withstanding environmental challenges such as hurricanes and serves as a symbol of resilience.

The GEL-K1011, which debuted last year as a combination of the GEL-KAYANO 5, 6, 10, and the GEL-CUMULUS 17, dons a rugged build covered in an earth-based composition. Its layered structure begins with an open-weave mesh in olive green. From there, it combines with suede overlays to add in other earthy notes such as brown and taupe. A semi-translucent blue runs across the stripes as golden yellow detailing accents the look. Rounding out the design is off-white at the midsole and a soft purple outsole.

For those looking to pick up a pair, the ASICS GEL-K1011 “Live Oak” is dropping next week as an exclusive to Sneaker Politics. Pairs will be available on October 18 via the retailer, both online and at its offline locations, at a starting price of $170 USD.
