Higround and SEGA Reunite for a Dreamcast and Sonic-themed Keyboard Collection

Higround and SEGA are back for round two, expanding their partnership with a second collaboration that celebrates Sonic the Hedgehog and the Dreamcast era. The duo’s latest drop is a larger and more technically advanced lineup that builds on the sold out success of their first, all while delivering updated aesthetics, upgraded internals and a broader range of layouts.

The collection spans five keyboards across the Summit and Basecamp series, each themed around a different corner of SEGA’s universe. At the top of the lineup is the Summit 65+, a CNC-milled aluminum board with a stainless-steel backplate referencing the Dreamcast’s signature look. It uses Higround’s new Dampening Plus system for a quieter, more stable sound profile.

For competitive players, the Basecamp 65HE introduces Hall Effect technology for faster, more precise actuation, wrapped in a Radical Highway graphic from the Sonic franchise. The Basecamp 96+ serves power users who want full functionality in a tighter footprint, arriving in a Classic Sonic design and fitted with TTC Neptune switches. Rounding out the keyboards are two versions of the Basecamp 75+, inspired by Escape from the City and Sonic CD respectively, each featuring the brand’s latest switch configuration and its Dampening Plus technology, too.

Higround is also releasing matching accessories, including a Sonic CD keycap set and four XL Control mousepads designed to complete the setup.

The full Higround x SEGA collection drops today, December 12, at 12 p.m. PT, exclusively on Higround’s website. Select pieces will also be available at Best Buy and Micro Center.
