Cambridge Audio Unveils New ‘L/R Series’ Lifestyle-Focused Loudspeakers

Cambridge Audio has unveiled its latest family of active loudspeakers, the “L/R Series” – a trio designed to deliver high-performance sound to a variety of everyday spaces. Engineered and tuned in London, the lineup introduces three new models in three different sizes: “L/R S,” “L/R M” and “L/R X” in order from smallest to largest.

The boutique British audio brand made its announcement during this year’s CES tradeshow in Las Vegas and says its new L/R series “marks a new chapter” for it, one in which it hopes to blend its heritage audio expertise with a “more lifestyle-focused design language.”

Sitting at the top of the range, the L/R X delivers 800W of total power from a 2.5-way acoustic design (400W per speaker, or the combined equivalent of “1 horsepower!” according to the brand), pairing its proprietary new 28mm Torus tweeter with dual woofers and force-canceling passive radiators. It supports StreamMagic Wi-Fi streaming (via an accompanying app), HDMI eARC for TV audio, wireless speaker-to-speaker connectivity via WiSA HT, and has a built-in MM phono stage for turntables.

The mid-sized L/R M carries over much of the same technology in a more compact form, offering 300W of system power and the same streaming and connectivity features. Rounding out the range is the smallest of the bunch, the L/R S, a Bluetooth-focused option designed for desks and smaller rooms, delivering 100W of power with placement optimisation controls.

All three models are offered in six finishes – Blue, Green, Orange, Black, White and Real Walnut veneer – and feature Cambridge Audio’s signature “floating” base. The L/R X and L/R M also add subtle white underlighting with adjustable warmth and brightness.

The Cambridge Audio L/R Series is set to launch later in 2026 through the brand’s website, with pricing starting from £399 GBP (approx. $540 USD today, though confirmed U.S. pricing will follow).
