Following up on the initial teaser that offered a first glimpse at a sleek grey JJJJound x New Balance 1890 sneaker, the Montreal-based design label has officially unveiled two distinct colorways for the collaboration.
The first variant, now confirmed as “Silver/White,” leans heavily into a classic American collegiate sports aesthetic by assembling airy white mesh underlays beneath metallic silver synthetic overlays. This bright, multi-paneled upper framework is sharply anchored by a deep navy mesh lining and New Balance’s signature midfoot “N” logo, which is rendered in black with a vibrant yellow interior accent. Underfoot, the silhouette sits directly atop a crisp white midsole detailed with grey accents and a technical navy ABZORB SBS cushioning system to retain an authentic, retro athletic finish.
Its sibling colorway takes sharper contrasts, with the upper boasting a dense black mesh while tonal synthetic overlays and a sleek synthetic leather “N” logo are layered over it. This is vividly disrupted by high-visibility off-white elements applied seamlessly across the tongue, lacing system and the chunky cushioned midsole. Both models feature a premium synthetic nubuck panel wrapped around the heel counter, embedding essential reflective detailing and minimalist co-branding, including a silver JJJJound script logo on the black pair and a yellow counterpart on the silver rendition.
