Paramount Pictures and director Ti West have officially unveiled the first trailer for Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol.The upcoming horror-infused adaptation showcases Johnny Depp in an uncanny physical transformation as he returns to major studio cinema to portray Ebenezer Scrooge.
cripted by Nathaniel Halpern, the film leans directly into the eerie, psychological ghost story roots of Charles Dickens’ classic 1843 novella. First-look footage highlights Depp beneath heavy facial prosthetics, weathered makeup, and long gray hair, bringing a sinister tone as he confronts townspeople and spectral visitors across a bleak Victorian London.
Known for horror hits like X and Pearl, West brings his signature stylized dread to the production, framing the iconic Christmas apparitions as intricate and terrifying entity figures. The supporting cast features Sir Ian McKellen as Jacob Marley, Rupert Grint as Bob Cratchit, alongside Andrea Riseborough, Tramell Tillman, and Robert Strange as the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Depp also stars alongside Sam Claflin and Daisy Ridley.
Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol will open exclusively in theaters on November 13, 2026, via Paramount Pictures.
