Following its initial preview at CES 2026, 8BitDo is officially bringing the FlipPad – G Classic Edition to European markets. Designed to transform everyday smartphones into dedicated retro handheld consoles, the ultra-compact mobile controller blends nostalgic design with modern clip-on functionality.

Paying homage to classic handheld gaming heritage, the G Classic Edition features a light grey shell accented by signature burgundy face buttons, a black directional D-pad, and grey Start and Select buttons. The controller also incorporates four top-facing shoulder controls (L1, L2, R1, R2) alongside dedicated function keys, giving mobile gamers full tactical control in a pocket-sized form factor.

Engineered for maximum portability and broad device integration, the FlipPad weighs a lightweight 31.5 grams. It connects directly via a USB-C hinge mechanism, offering seamless compatibility with devices running Apple iOS 26.2 and above as well as Android 13.0 and above.
