Apple TV has released the official trailer for its upcoming comedy series, Brothers. The project reunites long-time friends Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as fictionalized versions of themselves addressing persistent real-life rumors that they share a biological connection.
The narrative centers on Harrelson moving in with McConaughey after his daughter’s wedding ends in disaster, leading the duo to uncover a decades-old secret regarding their parentage. While Harrelson copes with the family revelation, McConaughey navigates a concurrent identity crisis involving a potential political campaign for Governor of Texas. The story draws directly from real-life comments by Harrelson regarding a past connection between McConaughey’s mother and Harrelson’s father.
The ensemble cast includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe, and Holland Taylor. Produced for Apple TV by Paramount Television Studios, the series features showrunner Lee Eisenberg alongside executive producers McConaughey and Harrelson, with Trent O’Donnell directing multiple episodes.
Brothers premieres on Apple TV on September 23, 2026, launching with two initial episodes before releasing weekly every Wednesday through November 4.
