Grand Seiko has unveiled the SBGW325 “Arabic Numerals” Limited Edition, a watch that draws inspiration from the first Grand Seiko timepiece as well as the celebrated SBGW003 reference. Housed in a 37.3mm stainless steel case measuring 11.7mm in thickness, the watch features a retro box-shaped sapphire crystal with an inner anti-reflective coating and a water-resistance rating of 3 ATM.
The defining highlight of the SBGW325 lies in its custom dial typography, created specifically by legendary Grand Seiko designer Nobuhiro Kosugi. Kosugi, a 40-year industry veteran and Contemporary Master Craftsman recipient who previously led the modern 44GS redesign and designed the GPHG-winning SBGJ005, created a bespoke Arabic numeral font engineered to harmonise seamlessly with the brand’s logo. Framing the dark blue dial is a “Japan Blue” crocodile leather strap dyed using traditional Japanese indigo dyeing techniques, alongside an included supplementary grey leather strap.
Inside, the watch is powered by the Caliber 9S64 manual‑winding movement, delivering a 72‑hour power reserve.
