Netflix has officially announced TYSON, a four-part documentary series exploring the life and complex legacy of former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. Directed by Floyd Russ and executive produced by Bill Simmons, Jim Gray, and Ian Orefice, the project is set to premiere globally on Netflix on October 13, 2026.
Formatted across four 60-minute episodes, TYSON chronicles the boxer’s trajectory from a chaotic childhood in Brooklyn to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in sports history. Beyond his rise to global superstardom, the series confronts the intense fame, cultural influence, personal choices, and public controversies that surrounded his career both inside and outside the ring.
The production features cinematography by David Bolen and Jacob Moller, an original score by Raffertie, and editing by Wax Taber and Dan Duran. Produced by Jenna Millman, Jacob Miller, and Alexa Ginsburg, the project is executive produced by Amanda Spain, Jonna McLaughlin, Greg C. Lake, Michael Hughes, Douglas Banker, Floyd Russ, Jim Gray, Ian Orefice, and Bill Simmons.
