Tokyo-based label Graphpaper is leaning into a conscious philosophy of design subtraction with its newly unveiled “REPRISE” collection. Operating on a strict product mindset that prioritizes timeless utility over trend-driven decoration – and even exploring the deliberate choice to stop production altogether – the brand uses this archival project to breathe contemporary life into stored textiles. By retrieving leftover fabric rolls and forgotten deadstock textiles directly from past productions, Graphpaper systematically re-edits its own design history through a modern structural lens. The resulting garments directly inherit the unique backgrounds and timelines of their raw fibers, converting past manufacturing remnants into highly intentional wardrobe staples.

Key pieces include oversized shirts crafted from Supima cotton broad stripes originally used in the SS24 season, available in both regular collar and pullover silhouettes. Military pants, meanwhile, are cut from cotton‑SOLOTEX twill prepared for the FW23 collection, treated with natural grain‑derived pigments and garment‑washed for nuanced fading and puckering. The palette spans gray, navy, black, green, purple, ivory, and deep green, underscoring versatility while maintaining a restrained elegance.

The conservatory space, created in collaboration with Edenworks, emphasizes natural fibers, plant‑based dyes and materials with traceable origins. Within this setting, “REPRISE” embodies Graphpaper’s ethos of crafting garments that endure beyond seasonal cycles, offering pieces that carry both the memory of past collections and the freshness of present reinterpretation. Prices range from ¥33,000 – ¥41,800 JPY (approx. $210–$270 USD), the collection will be sold exclusively at the Graphpaper Conservatory in Shibuya and via the brand’s online store.
