The modern mountain sports lifestyle brand launched its fourth New York City storefront with a soft opening on July 1
The 4,390-square-foot retail location houses North America’s most comprehensive Salomon product assortment
The store plans to feature community runs, custom gear customization, and local programming
Salomon has officially launched its newest immersive retail destination, the Salomon Flatiron Flagship Store, in New York City. Marking the French outdoor brand’s fourth storefront in the metropolitan area, the expansive location kicked off its soft opening on July 1, 2026, with a community run and a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Salomon President and CEO Guillaume Meyzenq.
Spanning a spacious 4,390 square feet at 141 5th Ave, the storefront houses the brand’s most comprehensive product assortment in North America. The carefully curated merchandise mix features a balanced split of approximately 60% performance gear and 40% sportstyle apparel and footwear. This extensive selection spans road, gravel, and trail running gear, alongside hiking footwear, hydration systems, accessories, and the brand’s highly coveted lifestyle collections.
To honor the unique culture of New York City, the flagship integrates bespoke design elements crafted by Salomon’s in-house creative team. A striking floor-to-ceiling glass graphic maps out all five boroughs while highlighting the official route of the New York City Marathon. Behind the cash wrap, a feature wall constructed from reclaimed Williamsburg brick pays a tactile tribute to Manhattan’s historic red brick architecture, grounding the technical retail space in its urban industrial heritage.
The Salomon Flatiron store is now open.
