Burger King has produced Le Nugguette, a limited-edition micro-bag sized to a single chicken nugget and released during fashion season
Every bag ships with one of four sauce-inspired charms, covering Special Savory, Honey Mustard, Buffalo and Sweet & Sour
Each unit also includes a redeemable code for a four-piece serving of the chain’s new chicken nuggets
Burger King has made a bag, and it is roughly the size of a chicken nugget. Le Nugguette is a limited-edition micro-bag built to mark the chain’s new nuggets, which rolled out nationwide earlier this month alongside an updated sauce lineup. The object itself is the point: a miniature carry scaled down past the threshold of practicality, timed to land while fashion season is in full swing.
The detailing is where the bag does its work. Each Le Nugguette arrives with one of four charms modeled on the new sauces, covering Special Savory, Honey Mustard, Buffalo and Sweet & Sour, which turns the release into a set with four possible outcomes rather than a single uniform item. The bag also comes packed with a redeemable code good for a four-piece order of the nuggets, so the accessory and the product it advertises travel together.
Burger King has been direct about the intent behind the object. “As we launch our new, high-quality Nuggets, we wanted to have some fun and bring fashion and food together,” said Allison Smith, Vice President of Marketing Communications for Burger King US&C, in a statement.
Le Nugguette is available exclusively online, with 100 bags released daily at 12:00 p.m. EST until September 16.
