Fear of God Unveils Capsule Collection for Amy Sherald: ‘American Sublime’

Fear of God has introduced a limited-edition capsule celebrating artist Amy Sherald’s landmark exhibition ‘American Sublime’

The collection translates Sherald’s 2022 painting Kingdom onto a heavyweight hoodie and t-shirt designed in California

The release is available exclusively via Fear of God’s webstore alongside the High Museum of Art and The Broad

Fear of God has officially launched the Fear of God for Amy Sherald: American Sublime capsule collection. Released on September 11, 2026, the limited-edition collaboration honors the artist’s landmark museum exhibition currently on view at the High Museum of Art through September 27.

Bringing together nearly two decades of Sherald’s work, American Sublime reconsiders the tradition of American realism by centering everyday Black life with dignity, beauty, and interiority. Grounded in a shared exploration of identity and visual restraint, the collaboration brings her artistic practice into direct dialogue with Fear of God’s perspective on American luxury and storytelling.

The range translates Sherald’s 2022 painting, Kingdom, onto a heavyweight hoodie and tee. Designed in California and manufactured in America, the apparel treats clothing as a wearable canvas reflecting a shared aesthetic rooted in minimalism, intention, and restraint. The physical release is accompanied by an editorial conversation between Sherald and Frazier Tharpe exploring creative practice and identity.

The Fear of God for Amy Sherald: American Sublime capsule is available now exclusively online, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and The Broad in Los Angeles.
