A First Look at LUAR & Lunazul Tequila’s Agave-Infused Capsule

The merging of worlds, integral to LUAR’s cross-cultural ethos, continues in a new partnership between Raul Lopez’s label and Lunazul Tequila. In this consciously crafted, moonlit collection, the designer’s bold city essence goes hand in hand with the tequila maker’s foundations in the growing and distilling of blue weber agave. The official lookbook offers a first glimpse of this extremely limited fusion of creative imprints — a collaboration that only manifests “Once in a Lunazul”.

The city-inspired silhouettes, comprising a two-piece denim set, a classic baseball cap, and a basketball-shaped bag, tie LUAR’s signature NYC aesthetic with Lunazul’s craft-driven approach to tequila. Lunazul brings its identity into the mix through its signature blue hue, found in the stitching and agave leather details. With a mastery of agave cultivation spanning more than seven generations, the core element of Lunazul’s hand-harvested, handcrafted tequila shares its basic foundations with this innovative plant-based leather.

The broader collection orbits around the handbag, characterized by a blue agave leather shell and a subtle LUAR logo at the front. With its organic shape and bright hue, the bag serves as a perfect accent to the black denim set, which boasts a co-branded agave leather collar and patches on the back of each piece. The denim number comprises a classic trucker jacket accentuated by blue contrast stitching, and wide-leg shorts with matching details. Worn together, the look has the relaxed elegance of a classic dark-wash denim set, steeped in the auratic glow of a moonlit night.

Shot on the streets of Lower Manhattan and in a blue agave field, the lookbook ties the foundations of LUAR and Lunazul together just as each style from the collection does on its own. LUAR x Lunazul’s exclusive collaborative range will officially debut at LUAR’s SS27 runway presentation on September 14, 2026.
