Having played soccer his entire life, Kevin Fareri’s connection to his growing collection of vintage soccer garments is evident, later picking up thrifting early on in adulthood.
“I love to be able to wear a piece that represents something that I care about so much,” the Depop seller behind Fareri’s Vintage tells Hypebeast.
Fareri curated a special selection of vintage soccer kits to showcase at the Hypebeast Cup, the first local seller on display at the pop-up’s Depop Clubhouse. The rotating activation will feature a different seller’s handpicked curation of soccer-inspired garments each week while the pop-up is open.

“I was drawn to a lot of these because of the bright colors and the nostalgic factor,” explains Fareri of what guides his sourcing process. “I watched a lot of these teams growing up as a kid.” Fareri’s rack of clothing spans jerseys, t-shirts, and sweaters from all eras of football, and while he wants Clubhouse guests to be drawn to the vibrant colors and striking patterns, he really wants them to dive further into the story behind the pieces they purchase.
“I would love for people to understand these pieces a little better and do their own research and see who whore this jersey, why they wore the jersey,” he says. “I think everyone would appreciate the clothes a bit more as well.”
