Calvin Klein‘s Spring 2027 runway show marked Creative Director Veronica Leoni’s continued exploration of American Minimalism, presented at the historic Terminal Warehouse in New York City. Set against the industrial 1891 architecture, the runway integrated three floor sculptures by Walter De Maria, creating a space where audience and models moved in parallel alongside a soundtrack by Kid Harpoon featuring Laurie Anderson and Solange. The atmosphere reflected Leoni’s ethos of “discipline of removal,” centering the relation between design and the body with precise, purposeful restraint.
The mood was sleek, disciplined and sensual, with silhouettes elongated, narrowed, or cinched to emphasize structure and movement. Foundational pieces such as coats, shirts, trousers, pencil skirts and slips were reworked with crisp tailoring and bias cuts, creating garments that balanced precision with fluidity. Evening dresses emerged from slip and t‑shirt forms, while extra‑fine silk knits and color‑blocked baseball shirts carried forward Calvin Klein’s American sportswear vernacular.
The range highlighted tailoring in cotton and lightweight wool, including a slim three‑button suit with the ease of a t‑shirt and a broader‑shouldered jacket designed for layering. Denim, leather, and laser‑cut suede added texture, while delicate flashes of underwear reinforced the brand’s sensual minimalism. The palette moved through whites and blacks into scarlet, bright yellow, royal blue, cherry, and citron, with a check inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s wardrobe providing a subtle nod to artistic heritage.
Accessories were purposeful and sculptural, from metal headbands and pointed scarves to enlarged bags in sleek or slouchy forms, including a new triangular origami‑like shape. Standout looks included bias‑cut evening slips, sharply tailored cotton suits and silk cady baseball shirts that merged sport and elegance.
